Attention St. George City Residents Regarding Federal Funds
You're invited to a public meeting to discuss housing and community development needs in St. George. Join fellow city residents and city staff representatives at a community meeting to receive general Housing and Community Development Program and application information for Fiscal Year (FY) 2011-2012.
We will be discussing the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) money that the city will receive for FY 2011-2012 for city programs. The City Of St.George will receive an estimated $520,000 in CDBG funds in the next fiscal year (the FY starts on July 1, 2011).
The results of this meeting will be the basis for receiving input on community and housing development issues and developing the Action Plan (which is a budget) for FY 2011-2012 to address these needs.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 5 p.m. The meeting will be in the St. George City Council Chambers located at 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah. If you plan on applying for CDBG monies then you are required to have a representative attend the meeting in order for you to have your application considered for funding. The CDBG funding application for FY 2011-12 is found on the City's website at www.sgcity.org/commdev.

CITY OF ST. GEORGE CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION REPORT (CAPER) PROGRAM YEAR 2009-2010
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat on or about August 19, 2010, the City will submit a Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Program Year 2009-2010 to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The CAPER is a financial and public benefit summary of the City's use and expenditures of federal Community Development Block Grant funds. The report evaluates how the City used these federal funds during Fiscal Year 2009-2010 to carry out priorities identified in the City's adopted Consolidated Plan (2009-2014). The report also evaluates how the City uses other resources to leverage federal dollars in carrying out the broader vision of community needs and priorities.
Citizens and interested parties are invited to review the City's CAPER at the Community Development Department, St. George City Hall, 175 East 200 North, St. George. The CAPER is also available (Available by clicking here) on the City's website www.sgcity.org/commdev. Written comments regarding the effectiveness of programs and activities which were funded during 2009-2010 may be made to the City beginning on August 3, 2010 and continuing until August 18, 2010. A summary of the written public comments received will be included in the CAPER that is submitted to HUD.
